He is the owner of Sumit Construction Company based in Illinois along with a Holiday Inn. Besides
Harendra's involvement with IADO, he is also involved with Gayatri Gayn Mandir Community,
Rajput Association of North America, and Federation of Indian Associations. He resides in Skokie,
Illinois with his family.
Pramod Shah* - Executive Director
Mr. Shah
was born in the state of Gujarat in India. He earned his Master’s degree
in Chemistry from Gujarat University, and then moved to United States in
1971. He has lived in Skokie for more than 28 years with wife Usha, and
his two sons attended school in Districts 68 and 219.
Until 1983 he was a Senior Chemist in product development for a Mount
Prospect graphics company. He owned and operated successful automotive
business in Chicago for 30 years, and now works as a consultant for
Cyberbridge International a Skokie based software development and IT
consulting company. Mr. Shah has been involved with the local Indian
Community since 1980; he currently is serving as the President of the Indo
American Democratic Organization. Appointed as Collector of the Niles
Township in 1999, won re-election as Collector in 2001, and was elected as
a Niles Township Trustee in April 2005.

Ranjit Ganguly *
Ranjit is the founding president of IADO. He has been actively
involved since 1980 and currently maintains a seat on the Board of Directors. Ranjit works for the
City of Chicago's Transportation Department for the past 15 years as an engineer. He also serves
as a board member and past president of Indo-American Center a non profit service organization
of Indo-American community. He is a resident of Chicago's Edge brook community.
Dr Ann Lata Kalayil *
Dr
Ann Lata Kalayil works at the University of Chicago as a Manager in
Networking Services and teaches history part-time at Loyola University. Ann served as President of IADO
from 1996-2000 and is currently its Executive Director. A Democratic National Committee member until
2001, Ann has been involved in many political campaigns and in 2002 was Campaign Chair of Judge Sandra
Otaka's election, which successfully placed the first Asian American in Cook County's judiciary.
Ann is co-founder of the South Asian American Policy and Research Institute, and serves on the
boards of the Indo-American Center, Leadership Greater Chicago, Illinois Women in Leadership and
the Chicago Public School's Asian American Committee. Ann serves on State Comptroller Daniel
Hynes Asian Advisory Council and Chaired Attorney General Lisa Madigan's Asian American Transition Committee.
