Sanjay Tailor took the oath of office on April 22, 2003 and was sworn in as an Associate Judge of the
Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge Tailor is the second Indian American and the first Indian man in

IADO Awards Three Internships
Last year, IADO formed the Summer Internship Program (SIP) to encourage young Indian
Americans to participate in government and the political process. Out of a field of highly-qualified college
applicants, three undergraduate students were chosen from the Chicago area to participate in the program.
